Guy Bruten

Guy Bruten is Director – Thematic Macro Research at Australian Super.  He has been with the Fund since mid-2023.  Guy’s research focusses on the ways in which “big picture” themes – things like climate change, demographics, artificial intelligence and the trend towards populism – will impact the macroeconomic landscape and investment opportunities.

Prior to joining AustralianSuper, Guy was Chief Asia-Pacific Economist with Global Fund Manager, AllianceBernstein, and has also held economist and investment strategy roles at Macquarie Bank and SBC Warburg.  He began his career at the Treasury Department in Canberra.
